Open Letter to Showtime and Ilene Reasons For A Tibette Spin-Off

There are many reasons for a Tibette Spin-Off. Businesses look at numbers,
figures, and who will be the most successful. Tibette has the numbers.
Tibette can and will be the most successful.
Visit YouTube: Search “Tibette” and you come up with over 2,010 videos made about them.
Search “Bette and Tina” and you come up with over 2,940 videos made about them. That’s close to 5,000 videos.
The number of times each video has been viewed is astronomical as well,
some as many as 194,300 times for one video.

As of this date, August 14, it has 26,377 signatures.
From the very beginning, before this turned into a Tibette petition,
many of the comments were already calling for a Tibette spin-off.
Those comments have only increased with the announcement of a potential spin-off.

Tibette has 1,976 of those votes. Their competition? Themselves - Bette and Tina.
Totally, they have 90% of the vote. All the other candidates have 125 votes and below,
with 4% and below.

We have gone on other boards, put ads in newspapers, etc. inviting ALL fans to participate, not just TIBETTE Fans. However, Tibette fans are the ones who are out there getting the votes,
and making a case for TIBETTE.

for the fans to download and mail in to both your offices.
As of today, we’ve had over 1,200 downloads.
Facts are facts: Tibette has the huge fan base to make any spin-off a success.
The L Word was loved, but the fact of the matter is Bette and Tina were the draw,
the reason everyone tuned in week after week, season after season.
We hung in there with TLW no matter what, even when some of the storylines weren’t so great.
Why? Bette and Tina. Tibette has the following; Tibette has the numbers to show they are the ones to be successful. Tibette having a spin-off is truly a win-win situation for everyone: Showtime wants a successful show – they get it with Tibette. We, the fans, want our stories to continue to be told in a positive fashion – we get it with Tibette. Jennifer/Laurel – Bette/Tina are the only two who can make a spin-off a success.
Jennifer and Laurel are both well-liked and respected actresses in both the gay and straight communities.
Bette/Tina has the most stories yet to be told. They are the best to represent a lesbian family
bringing up children and the stories that go with that.
Other storylines: Tina’s family, how they met, their 8 years together prior to S1.
Showtime, Ilene, you have a wonderful opportunity here. You started it with TLW. Please, don’t give it up now.
There’s more work to be done. More people to enlighten. More barriers to be crossed.
Tibette is the ONLY way to go for a win-win. No one else can do it.
There’s no fighting it!! There should be no question as to who gets the spin-off.
Considering anyone other than Jennifer and Laurel…………well - It doesn’t compare!!
